About this work
Sewn-together cap band and cap flaps of natural-colored needle lace: Alençon lace. The pattern features oval fields formed by a garland of small leaves and an open band with scallops and stylized leaves along the edges. Inside the ovals, alternating a large flower branch and a small flower and leaf motif. Along the edges, the pattern has flowers and leaves.
