Bookcase inlaid with ebony reeds and carved woven rosettes

Oak bookcase consisting of a lower cabinet and a recessed upper cabinet resting on four block feet at the front and three at the back, containing inlaid ebony stringing. The lower cabinet has three doors set in a frame. Each door consists of a panel with inlaid ebony stringing, a pearl border, a carved braided rosette, and a carved knob. The recessed upper cabinet has four stiles supporting a top rail. Between the stiles are three niches where shelves can be set at the desired height. Each stile has a block inlaid with ebony in a rectangular shape at the top, with a pearl border above and below the block. The top rail extends above each niche into a hood. Above this rail is a molded, forward-sloping list that runs along the side walls and contains inlaid ebony stringing.
