About this work
Gown of changeant taffeta in red and green. Model: Bodice fairly short due to high waistline, ending in a point. V-shaped front. Around the neck a loose small flat-lying collar. Long sleeves close-fitting from above, wider around the elbow, close-fitting at the bottom. Skirt with smooth front panel, back panel strongly pleated at the waist, creating space for the hoop skirt. Entire gown lined with chintz cotton.
