About this work
Earthenware bowl, painted with large script characters in brown-black slip on yellow-white slip under transparent lead glaze on the inner wall. Along the rim, a black sawtooth border. On the bottom, a small bird (stork?). The inscription can probably be read as 'al mulku li[llah]', 'the highest authority belongs to God'.
