About this work

Gold, amethyst and diamond ring. The top of the ring is decorated with a portrait (in profile) carved from amethyst of Frederica Louise Wilhelmina, Princess of Orange-Nassau (1770-1819). The amethyst is surrounded by 18 Rio diamonds.
