Earthenware plate with black and blue transfer decoration. The field is decorated with a black transfer decoration, the rim with a blue transfer decoration. On the field a scene of the Battle of Palestro. Below the scene the text: Combat de Palestro 2 Juin 1859 / Battle of Palestro 2 June 1859. The rim is decorated with three cartouches with portraits. Between the cartouches leafy branches, flags, and ribbons with the following text: BENEDECK DE SCHLICK BUOL.; GIULY HESS BRÜCK; GARIBALDI BUONCOMPAGNIE RIGA; LA MARMORA CAVOUR CIVRIANI; FOREY ESPINASSE REGNAUD St J.DEA; NIEL DE MACMAHOI WALEWSKI.
