About this work

Covered dish of earthenware with blue transfer decoration, with mottled colors and ocher luster. The long sides of the four-lobed dish are decorated with a scene of a man without shoes on the roof of a house. Below on the ground stands a woman next to his shoes. On the right, a figure sits in front of the window of a house. In the sky stand the moon and stars. On the short sides of the dish two handles in the form of stylized leaves. The four-lobed lid also shows the man on the roof and the woman. Around the scene volutes, flowers and abstract motifs. The lid knob is in the form of a stylized flower.
