About this work

Stoneware plate with blue transfer decoration, painted in mottled colors and ochre luster. The flat surface depicts a house with a garden, in which a butterfly and a dragon are present. In the sky are the moon and stars. To the right in the background stands a pagoda. The rim of the plate is decorated with flowers, volutes, and abstract motifs.
