About this work

Part of a room screen covered with polychromed gold leather. Against a dark background and within a frame formed by wide gilded bandwork and surrounded by floral, fruit, and leafy scrolls, a mythological hunting scene is depicted: Atalanta and Meleager. Gold leather ca. 1640. Note: also compare with BK-NM-12728-A,B.
