About this work

Wool antependium on a linen warp, with a green pattern of flower vases, birds and a ciborium against a red background; additionally bands with dark blue weft of respectively the Christogram IHS, FABRIX, fleurs-de-lys flanked by stags and the letters FPAP; the piece was possibly made for ecclesiastical use in the Southern Netherlands.
