About this work

Sea pearl oyster shell, one of a pair, in relief decorated with figures at sea: a woman sitting on a mount, half horse, half fish, with behind her two men and a woman; to the left a child on a fish, to the right a boy blowing a horn; two putti in the air. In the foreground plants on a rock, as well as the waves engraved and blackened.
