About this work
Bowl of quartz-fritware covered with an engobe of black slip from which decoration has been cut out in 'silhouette' under a monochrome turquoise alkaline glaze. On the base a circle with a striped pattern is depicted. Above this a frieze with standing motifs, reminiscent of an eagle motif. Above this again a checkered border has been applied.
