About this work
Hat of black satin with black stitching, decorated with a red grosgrain ribbon and black gimp. High crown, straight on top. This crown extends over the wide brim, which does not close at the back of the neck. Lined with black satin lining, which is quilted at small intervals. On top of the crown, this stitching forms a wide cross. On the red grosgrain ribbon, which is tied at the sides, round black gimps are sewn at equal distances.
