About this work
This jewellery casket is an example of the inspiration derived from the great Renaissance artists. The griffin, columns, nude figures, and floral motifs are but a few of the motifs incorporated in this small casket. The woman on the lid looks in a mirror and one of the children carries an overflowing jewellery box. In the lid is a secret compartment.
