Tric-trac table of ironwood (?), inlaid with tropical woods

Tric-trac table, rectangular, made of ironwood (?) inlaid with tropical woods. The table rests on four square legs with baluster-shaped sections above houses, standing on low blocks. The houses are connected by a cross with square baluster-shaped sections. Below the four profiled sides is an openwork decoration of a lotus motif (?) amidst volutes. Under the removable djati wood top (possibly not original) are two compartments separated by a narrow one, closed by a slide. The bottoms of the compartments are inlaid with alternating light and dark flame-patterned playing fields, ending in fleurons. Includes one light disc. Dutch East Indies, first half of the 18th century.
