About this work
Fragment of cotton with a design in roller printing and block printing in the colors red, yellow, purple, and yellow. On the left alternates the Pont Neuf with the equestrian statue of Henry IV with the Panthéon; on the right the Fontaine des Innocents with Perrault's east facade of the Louvre. The designs are framed in medallions and cartouches. Portraits of the French kings Henry II, Henry IV, Louis XIV, and Louis XVI appear in small medallions between the designs.
