About this work

Notebook (a) with spine and covers of ivory, lined with watered silk and equipped with a pencil (b) with an ivory knob and iron ring. Model: elongated. Inside, on the front cover, a flap for visiting cards (?) and further a loose notebook for notes. On the side of the front cover two silk loops, on the side of the back cover a loop for attaching the pencil. Decoration: on the front cover, in the center on the outside, an unadorned ivory shield is attached with three small copper nails. Netherlands, ca. 1900.
