About this work

Table veneered with walnut, inlaid with various wood species. The rectangular top features a vase with flowers, framed by horns of plenty, round and S-shaped bands. This whole is set within a double rectangular frame, within which at the corners and in the middle of the long sides are scalloped fields with fine acanthus scrolls. The similarly inlaid apron contains a drawer and has corner posts that flow into S-shaped curved, diagonally placed legs, ending in a hoof joint.
