About this work
Strip of two sewn and brocaded and laced silk fabrics, canntillé, liseré. Design: pairs of very large-scale arrangements of flowers and leaves leaning towards each other, with a central, smaller, symmetrically built flower arrangement in yellow, mustard, green and two shades of blue (brocading) and ecru (lacing) on a pink ground with a liseré effect in beige. At the top, a label with 22576 Rose ground Brocade 1 1/3 yrds 35.00 yard. On the back of the fabric, scratched: 22576. Paper pinned with letter Z. Condition: good, slightly worn.
