About this work

Strip or fragment of brocaded silk weave in rib binding with silver lamé weft and sequins. Design: parallel high-running wavy sparse vines with bouquets, enlivened with sequins in various colors on a beige ground. Label with text: 6502 Louis XV Drap d'or; silk, silver, brocade. French 18thC. $250. Written in ink on the reverse: A1B3E (F)400,--.
