About this work

Fragment of a sash. Design: symmetrically constructed bandwork, filled with a grid pattern, so-called lace pattern, and floral scrolls; in the axis, large floral arrangements in red, blue, aubergine, yellow, and green against an ochre ground; the ground of the bandwork is white. Hindeloopen Bont. Note: previously received other accession numbers: bk-nm-3725 and bk-nm-12206-b, with references to the Catalogus van de textiele Kunst in het Nederlandsch Museum voor Geschiedenis en Kunst te Amsterdam (1903), cat. nos. 344 and 345.
