Japanese gown of light green satin, ankle-length, with a high waist and long sleeves, decorated above the skirt hem with a wavy, gathered strip of the same satin. Model: short bodice ending below the breasts. Nearly square neckline gathered by a cotton cord threaded through a satin tunnel. Below the bust, a tunnel with a cotton cord to which the skirt is attached in flat pleats. Back panel with a diamond-shaped insert. High sleeve insertion. Long, narrow sleeves with set-in elbow caps and extending cuffs over the hand. Bodice lined with green satin and natural linen. Closure at the front center with a split. Skirt unlined. Gathered skirt with front panel of full width, half-width panels on each side, and a gore at the side seam. The back consists of one full width and two half-widths. On each side of the skirt, a slit pocket in the side seam with a flap. Flat pleats at the waist and front; on the back, a deep box pleat in the center gathered in the middle.
