Chair with a profile-cut female head in the backrest cap within a medallion, flanked by laurel wreaths

Mahogany chair, upholstered in green silk (not original). The two slightly S-shaped legs are decorated with a ribbed band crowned by a large motif of acanthus leaves. The strongly curved rear legs are unadorned. The straight seat rail shows cannelures on the front and sides, interrupted in the center of the front by a round medallion with a rosette, from which laurel wreaths hang on either side. Along the oval, slightly hollow back and the high, C-shaped supports, runs a molding of alternating rods and three pearls. This is interrupted at the top by a round medallion with a woman's head in profile, facing left, hanging from a ribbon and flanked on either side by hanging laurel wreaths. Numbered on the inside of the front rail: VII with two lines below and one above; also the letter C with a double dot.
