About this work
Japanese robe with half-length sleeves and a train, made of white cotton lace with needle lace fillings. The sleeves are trimmed with a strip of machine-made Valenciennes lace and with medallions of machine-made lace as well. Design: large flowers and leaves and C-scrolls; in the medallions roses. Lining of white (art?) silk (modern).
