About this work

Bowl of quartz fritware covered with a white tin-lead-alkaline glaze, on which a decoration in luster is painted and a (pseudo-)inscription in luster is scratched. On the bottom, a medallion with hexagons and a 'spearhead-border'. The inner wall with alternating compartments with floral scrolls and medallions. The inner rim with a band with a (pseudo-)inscription.
