About this work

Covered vase of porcelain on a spreading foot ending in a square plinth and with a cylindrical body with a rounded shoulder and tapering towards the foot. Spreading neck with a flat rim and high, angular handles. Painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, purple, black and gold. On the belly two birds on a branch in a landscape and a bouquet of various flowers. Between them scattered flowers and insects. The tapering part towards the foot with a band of modeled standing leaf motifs in relief. The shoulder and the foot with the same decoration as on the belly with below it a band of leafy tendrils in relief. On the corners of the plinth a flower or insect. The sides with a scroll motif in bas-relief. Golden rim. Marked on the underside with the F and A.F.
