About this work

Oval upholstery for a chair back of red sheared and pressed velvet. Pattern: medallions connected by garlands, filled with an antique emperor's head with inscription: .....SOL...ROM... (center top) and an antique woman's head with inscription: AUGUSTA ......(center bottom). Ground with a grid motif.
