About this work

Portrait of King Gustav Adolf II of Sweden in raised gold leather crowned with a laurel wreath. The portrait is surrounded by a frame with strapwork decorations. In this frame two cartouches with inscriptions are included at the top and bottom. In the four corners the coat of arms of the Swedish king is incorporated, on the left and right sides trophies are attached. The brown leather shows traces of gilding.
