About this work
Gold filigree pendant with a natural pearl on a necklace. The pendant is shaped as a quatrefoil containing a concave lozenge with the pearl centrally placed and fitted with a loop eye. The pendant was made for a lady from a Dutch family that owned a plantation in the Dutch East Indies. The necklace is an anchor chain with a spring ring clasp.
