About this work

Skirt of a Japanese-style gown or robe à la française of silk with vertical yellow and white stripes and a scattered motif of multicolored bouquets, provided with oval pouffes and lined with a multicolored chiné. Model: the skirt consists of full panels at the front, while the invisible parts of the skirt consist only half of the printed silk and half of plain white taffeta. Decoration: the skirt has four horizontal borders of oval pouffes of the silk fabric trimmed with silk passementerie above the hem.
