About this work

Oboe of palmwood with typical keywork: two open rings, eleven keys with 'bassoon rollers' (to allow easy sliding) and a 'bass key' B over the back. The third hole is double. The oboe has four ivory rings and a removable tuning joint. Marked on all parts: HECKEL / BIEBRICH.
