Flower pot with a depiction of Bacchus, Silenus and three bacchantes

Lead flower vase in classical urn shape with two S-shaped handles in the form of a hippocamp on each side. The vase is built up on a round foot with acanthus leaves, a nodus consisting of a laurel wreath and a lobed rim supporting the vase body. The body is built up from a rim of acanthus leaves, a laurel wreath, a broad frieze with on each side an identical bacchic scene with a drunken Silenus, supported by a young bacchant and with three bacchantes. Above this frieze a narrower rim with 'egg and dart' relief and a turned-over rim of symmetrical acanthus leaves for closure. The vase has a loose, zinc inner bucket.
