About this work

Four-part transverse flute (headjoint with tuning slide; upper joint; lower joint; foot) in strikingly beautiful flamed boxwood with six brass keys. Very well preserved and excellent playing instrument (a ca. 440 Hz). Stamps: RS. PRATTEN’S / PATENTED (headjoint); BOOSEY & SONS / LONDON (upper joint); RSP / BOOSEY&SONS / 24 HOLLES STREET / LONDON / 7034 / R.S. PRATTEN’S / PERFECTED (lower joint); BOOSEY & SONS / LONDON (foot).
