About this work
The model and technique of the white tapunto linen baptismal cover are fantastic. It is a very fine stitch, with exotic palmettes and curled fern stems. Because the pattern contains 'exotic' motifs, it is possibly inspired by Indian motifs. The shape is 'tailed', with bows added later.
