Philip William, Prince of Orange (1554-1618)

Prince Philip William, eldest son of William the Silent, head three-quarter to the right, with a small beard and large sideburns. The neck is hidden in an open stiffened lace collar, closed with a cord to which acorns are attached. Over the patterned doublet with a standing collar, fastened with buttons on the chest, hangs a chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece wound many times around the neck; shoulder pieces on the shoulders. The bust, ending just below the shoulders and chest, has a twisted pedestal. On the hollow back, in script, signature and date.
