About this work

Oak corbel with key piece. On the console-shaped front piece, a monk is carved in relief before a shell niche. The sides feature a volute with scrollwork. The key piece is decorated with an angel's head. Originating from the monastery in the Oude Hoogstraat in Amsterdam.
