About this work
Architrave of oak wood with architrave, frieze, and cornice. The frieze shows in low relief a continuous procession of putti, who from both sides with offerings and garlands and while playing musical instruments advance towards an altar in the center, upon which the sacrificial fire has been kindled. The procession of advancing putti begins at the sides, which are closed by hanging festoons (see BK-BR-308-2 & -3).
