Children's blanket or spread of cotton, quilted and embroidered, with a pattern of floral scrolls

Children's coverlet or blanket of chintz, quilted and embroidered. Cotton, dyed using mordant and resist techniques, painted and quilted with white wadding, stitched in yellow; lined with red silk. Design: continuous pattern of small floral scrolls; in the corners, mirab arches; four borders consisting of a floral border, framed by narrower borders with a scrolling pattern; the innermost border with a design of rows of stems crowned by stars. The paintings in various shades of red, aubergine, green, yellow (especially in the inner border) and (little) blue on a cream-colored ground. Condition: problematic regarding the silk lining: there are holes.
