About this work
Silk fabric, weft-faced and brocaded with metal thread. Design: horizontally running zigzag pattern, above and below complicated arrangements built up from flowers and semi-abstract forms, including butterfly wings, filled with 'lacework' and floral scrolls, in ecru and metallic color on a green ground. Mounted on linen.
