About this work

Coarse natural-coloured linen fabric fragment consisting of two sewn-together pieces, on which a multicoloured (yellow, red, dark blue, light blue, black) clavus is sewn. In the center of the clavus is a stylized bouquet of flowers and spreading leaf vines. Around this three borders with geometric motifs. In the ground weave stripes by thickened weft threads in three places and to the left of the clavus two tufts of loops and a pair of standing threads.
