About this work

Design of natural-coloured needle lace: Brussels gauze lace. Above a band with ovals and diamonds representing carbuncles (gemstones) stand five clover leaves and five clasps (braces) set with linked ovals representing pearls. The clasps come together at the top and carry to a closure an orb.
