Spread of mixed lace with field flowers

Spread of natural-coloured mixed lace - bobbin lace in combination with needle lace - Brussels duchess. A plaited ground is scattered with buttercups and four-leaf clovers, upon which a large pattern stands, symmetrical with respect to two axes. The center bears a large oval medallion with a toothed edge, upon which alternately a poppy and a corn ear stands. The center features among other things two bunches of cornflowers bound with ribbon, corn ears and a border of C-scrolls. Outside this stands a large reserve of a lobed quatrefoil, bordered by C-scrolls, outside which bunches of corn ears and cornflowers. Large circular arches, formed by poppies strung on a stem, intersect each other in the quatrefoil. Between these are four cornflower bunches and four ovals placed crosswise.
