About this work

Running pattern of incised leaves above a rose and a trefoil, which together form the sharply toothed outer line. Cross-shaped bars with a knot (ground of long X-shaped bars with a spin). The filling consists of buttonhole stitches and a fond gazé. German lace: 'Carlsbader Points'.
