About this work
The cast round mortar widens towards the top, has a high overhanging rim, a tapering profiled foot and two dolphin ears. On the rim in Latin capitals the inscription LOF GODT VAN AL ANNO 1604 with interpuncts consisting of a lying rhombus (six times). The upper frieze consists of upright leaves. The lower frieze consists of putti pulling a figure on a cart (twice). It is closed at the bottom by a twisted pearl and cord border.
