About this work

Ladies' shoes of golden-yellow quilted silk. Model: pointed toe, broad forefoot, one vamp and two quarters. The heel, covered with goatskin, is square-cut and extends under the instep to the seam of the vamp. The heel has a brown leather border from the counter. Brown leather sole with white stitching under the instep. The quarters are lined with goatskin. The vamp is lined with beige linen. The insole is of goatskin. Decoration: an open vertical band of silver spangles and cannetille runs from the tip to the cutout on the vamp. The cutout of the forefoot is decorated with a pleated cream-colored silk strip. No left/right distinction.
