About this work

Flat foot with turned-over rim and pontil mark. Hollow, baluster-shaped stem with two flat discs. Funnel-shaped bowl, rounded at the bottom. On the bowl the lion of the Republic of the United Netherlands is engraved. On the reverse the inscription 'Salus Patriae' (the welfare of the fatherland).
