About this work

Vaulted foot with turned-over rim and a band of polished ovals. Faceted stem with three knobs and an elongated tear. Bell-shaped cup with faceted cutting, solid base with air bubbles. On the cup two drums under a breastplate for war trophies. Between the trophies, on the left side, a banner with the lion of the province of Holland, and on the right side a banner with the coat of arms of the city of Amsterdam. Along the rim the inscription: THE WELL-BEING OF THE HONOURABLE CITIZENS OF AMSTERDAM.
