About this work
Conical foot, baluster-shaped stem with two nodes, conical bowl with rounded underside. Vaulted lid with knob built up from a node under a point. Foot, stem, underside of bowl, top of lid and knob faceted. On the bowl, in a medallion built up from a ribbon tied at the bottom wrapped with oak leaves the inscription "TO OUR PARENTS/J:D:V:wz/&/C:J:C:/on 23 Nov 1809". The glass is depicted in the Eighth Book of W:G:J:& CH De Vos, October 1809, fol.5 (J. de Vos del.)
