About this work

Pouch of wine-red velvet, embroidered in gold thread with floral garlands, crown and the monogram A.S. Model: elongated, consisting of two pattes. On each patte five festooned holes through which a twisted drawstring, ending in a festoon, is passed. Bordered around by a fringe of loops. The gold thread has a core of yellow silk. Lined with cream-coloured silk. Decoration: equal on front and back. Under the round holes a horizontal line of twisted gold thread. In the compartment below a leaf and floral garland around with in the middle the monogram A.S. under a crown and surrounded by dots.
