About this work
Jug (pilgrim flask) of stoneware on a high foot with a globular body, oval in side view, and with a narrow neck. Part of the neck is missing. On the sides of the belly four small, C-shaped ears. Covered with a brown engobe. The front with concentric profiles with in the center in relief a printed and applied coat of arms surrounded by leafy vines. The outer circle is divided into four compartments with in each a modeled lion's head. The other side with a square with a quatrefoil in a medallion in the center, surrounded by small circles and heart shapes. A wooden stop replacing the neck. Bouffioulx.
